Greece
Sifnos | Serifos | Acropolis
We visited Greece in September 2024 - the Cycladic islands of Sifnos and Serifos, about two hours from Athens on the fast ferry, and of course Athens itself, and the Acropolis. We went with two old friends, Lisa and Klaus, with whom we had travelled before, sharing the driving and the accommodation, not to mention the food - plates of meze, dips, salads, lamb, fish, shellfish, breads. Oh, and the wine, too, and the local beer, and the swimming, and our enjoyment of the little island villages, the crazy cliffside roads, the endless opportunities to stop and take photographs, and to relax.
We all took photographs - selfies, video clips and holiday pics on our cellphones - and shared them online with our friends and families and with each other. I took my fair share of happy snaps - and along with these, I took other photographs too, a little more considered in intent, with an eye to making a photo book on on our return.
The book is now done, and available from the Blurb Bookstore, in both print and downloadable PDF form, in case you are interested. Or you can simply let your eye roam through the photographs here - unlike the book, which is costly to produce, it won’t cost you a cent.
